Summer

ACT/SAT Summer Prep Camp

This one week camp will cover content and strategy for both the ACT and SAT.  This course is designed for those who have not taken either test and are just beginning to prepare college admissions testing. It is ideal for rising 10th and 11th graders!

ACT/SAT Test Prep Courses

Our full length summer course is ideal for those students planning to take either the ACT or SAT this August or September.

ACT/SAT Intensives

Intensives are designed for students who have completed test prep, are planning to take the SAT or ACT an additional time and want to maximize their score.

ACT/SAT Private Tutoring

Academic Journeys offers on-demand private instruction for the ACT and SAT.  Whether it is for a particular focus or ease of schedule our tutors specialize in highly personalized study plan.

Guided Summer Learning

Academic Journeys offers a unique summer program that focuses on how a student learns and guides the student to master specific academic skills using techniques that fit their individual learning style.

Students will not only gain skills in the academic subject (geometry for example), they will also learn to use study skills that fit their unique learning profile.

The program includes initial assessment of learning style and academic need, a weekly hour of private tutoring with daily tasks designed and reviewed by the tutor. We combine the use of online tools with the insight of our master tutors to give our students a robust academic program without the constraints of scheduled daily sessions!

We offer programs in the following subjects:

  • Reading Comprehension

  • Writing and Grammar

  • Mathematics

  • Critical Thinking

Everything but the essay!

The college search shouldn’t be about the chase for that elusive school you’ve heard is
amazing, but about the school that is a true match for a student’s interests and
academic profile. Ideal for rising 10th,11th, and 12th graders, our program gives students the tools to explore their interests, rank their priorities, and learn how to make a match with a college that is the best fit.
